I’m a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, trained at the renowned Lotos Studios, Berlin, recognised by the Yoga Alliance International Institute. My path, as a fashion design and buying executive and yoga teacher, has been one of profound transformation, combining fast-paced, future-focused leadership and grounded, present-moment awareness. Yoga answered a deep call for clarity, balance, and presence.

Yoga has long lived quietly in my life. My Mum practiced with Ian Scorgie in the 1980s, sharing her learnings with joy. For years, I dipped in and out of the practice, unaware it was always patiently waiting for me whenever I needed it. Then, a retreat in France changed everything. I met a teacher whose kindness and inclusivity illuminated the risks of burnout and revealed not just the beauty, but the necessity, of slowing down. From that moment, yoga became central to my life.

A year later, I attended a class at Lotos Studios, Berlin, just days before relocating to Düsseldorf. That single class, and its teacher, stayed with me. When I returned to Berlin, I researched Lotos Studios and discovered their teachers had trained at the prestigious ‘Institute of Advanced Yogic Studies’, School of Bihar. After a few encouraging, heart-led conversations, I joined their 200-hour teacher training programme. I didn’t know it then, but that decision marked the beginning of a life-changing transformation.

I had no intention of teaching. I’d quietly slip into the studio and find a spot at the back. But the studio, rooted in karma yoga and deep yogic wisdom, was caring, nurturing and generous. Through their encouragement, I began teaching regularly and consistently, eventually guiding future teachers in both the 200-hour and 300-hour YTT programmes. I remain deeply grateful to Lotos Studios for their wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support.

Now based in London, I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Dynamic, Restorative, Nidra, and Yin yoga in a slow, strong, and intentional style. Each class supports strength, flexibility, and mobility, while offering space to reconnect. I also offer sound baths with Tibetan singing bowls and gongs, and sound-accompanied yoga for deeper resonance and embodied connection.

You’ll find me teaching open studio classes, private sessions, corporate programmes, and a weekly ‘Yin with Sound’ workshop at Quaker Hall, Blackheath.

Each class is an invitation, to align the mind and body through breath, movement and sound, to cultivate awareness, and embrace self-acceptance. Whether you’re new to yoga or deepening your practice, lets connect.

With warmth,
Gill
